General Labourer
Job Description
We are hiring on behalf of our client in Port Colborne for a Labourer role involving hands-on work with installations and basic electrical tasks. This role is ideal for someone who is mechanically and electrically inclined, reliable, and comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.
Pay Rate: $20/hr
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Type: Temporary to permanent
Responsibilities:
- Work in both the shop and off-site for installations
- Assist with installation and maintenance work
- Support basic electrical tasks
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform general labour duties, including lifting materials (50 lbs+ as required)
Requirements:
- Working at Heights certification (required)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
- Must be insurable under the company’s vehicle insurance policy
- Police check / bondable
- Ability to use and understand hand and power tools
- Mechanically and electrically inclined
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to follow both oral and written instructions
- Comfortable with physical work, including heavy lifting
