Job Description


We are now hiring a permanent Forklift Operator in Windsor, ON. Interested candidates should have the following skills and experience:

  • Ability to work from 12am - 8am Monday to Friday with alternating on call
  • Minimum of one year Forklift experience
  • Must be a resident of Canada for a minimum of 5 years.
  • Previous warehousing experience an asset
  • Ability to load and unload a variety of goods/cargo from transportation shipping containers
  • Ability to pick or pull cargo from warehouse and prepare it for safe transport;
  • Ability to communicate with coworkers to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the warehouse
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs;
  • A positive and open personality with a “Can-Do” attitude
  • Demonstrated ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Great work ethic – a person who takes pride in being reliable, committed and dependable;
  • Must be able to pass a reliability clearance


Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a forklift to move, stack, and retrieve materials
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets
- Inspect and maintain the forklift equipment
- Follow safety guidelines and protocols at all times
- Keep accurate records of inventory and materials movement

-Process payments through a POS system
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations

Experience:
- Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or industrial setting
- Valid forklift certification or license
- Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols for operating a forklift
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management
