Job Description
We are now hiring a permanent Forklift Operator in Surrey, Abbottsford, Aldergrove, BC. Interested candidates should have the following skills and experience:
- Ability to work from – Monday to Friday with alternating on call
- Minimum of one year Forklift experience
- Must be able to pass a reliability check. We are a guest on Federal Government ( Boarder Crossing) property and for this reason we all must be issued a Personal reliability security clearance, in order to obtain this we will have to fill out an application and get finger prints done so the application can be processed in Ottawa at the security clearing division of the Federal Government. This may take 1 week to 3 months depending on National security. If interested i will forward the forms for you to fill out and directions on where to get the finger prints.
- Previous warehousing experience an asset
- Ability to load and unload a variety of goods/cargo from transportation shipping containers
- Ability to pick or pull cargo from warehouse and prepare it for safe transport;
- Ability to communicate with coworkers to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the warehouse
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs;
- A positive and open personality with a “Can-Do” attitude
- Demonstrated ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Great work ethic – a person who takes pride in being reliable, committed and dependable;
- Must be able to pass a clearance application through the Canada Boarder Services as this job is conducted at the Surrey or Abbottsford and Aldergrove, Border crossing.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
