Do you have what it takes?
As an AZ Driver, you’ll be responsible for short-haul, local, and regional deliveries of steel to customers across Ontario. You’ll operate manual-transmission straight and semi trucks on a flatbed to transport rebar and structural steel safely and efficiently.
Core Duties
- Operate and drive manual-transmission straight and semi trucks to transport goods and materials
- Haul structural and reinforcing steel on flatbed trailers
- Secure, tarp, and ensure the safety and stability of all cargo
- Inspect vehicle condition, including tires, lights, brakes, and load securement
- Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness, reporting any issues promptly
- Complete and maintain accurate driver logbooks, inspection reports, and accident/incident reports

Education / Experience
- Valid AZ License /Air brake (Z) endorsement
- Experience operating manual-transmission trucks, preferably with flatbed and steel hauling
- Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration (CVOR) Certificate
- Air Brake Adjustment Certificate
- Criminal record check, driving record check, medical exam, drug test
- Sound knowledge of safe driving practices
- Previous experience working in an industrial environment is an asset
- Previous experience in machine operation is preferred
Wage:Â $30.25/hr
