Job Description

Currently recruiting an accounting clerk on behalf of our client in the Welland area, the role would be part time say 3 days a week ( the days can be discussed) can be flexible hours but let’s say  at least 4 -6 hours a day to start.The duties include but not limited to matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a Temporary to Permanent position.

What you get to do every day
  • Assist Accounts Receivable: help with collection of past due balance, process daily invoices/credit, and apply cash receipt
  • Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing
  • Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
  • Compose statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources
  • A/R plus Sage Accpac/Sage would be a great asset. 
  • General accounting experience,
  • data entry,
  • Ability to learn quick and work on their own. 
  • excel spreadsheets, AP and AR invoice entry, J/E’s, etc.

  • ability to speak French as there may be some interaction with the Montreal branch, is an asset but not required

  • Answering phones and forwarding the odd fax.

    Job Requirements:
  • Familiar with Spreadsheet and ERP system
  • Sage AccPac experience an asset
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
  • Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel
  • Foundational knowledge in ERP Solutions
  • AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
  • Accurate, swift, data entry abilities

Wage: $18 to $20/hr
