Overview
We are seeking skilled and motivated Forklift Operators for our client in Fort Erie. The ideal candidate will be a certified forklift operator with a proven track record of safe and efficient equipment handling. In addition to operating forklifts, the role involves performing various labor tasks to support warehouse and production activities.
This is a 3 month contract, on the day shift, offering $20 per hour.
Duties
- Operate forklifts to unload, move and stack products and materials
- Inspecting tools and jigs
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during forklift operations
- Perform manual lifting, carrying, and moving of materials as needed
- Accurately input and update inventory
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sweeping, cleaning, and organizing storage areas
Requirements
- Valid forklift operator certification
- Criminal clearance check
- Previous experience operating forklifts and performing general labor tasks
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices related to forklift operation and warehouse environments
- Experience with computers
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and able to handle repetitive tasks with attention to detail
