General Labourer
Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking reliable, detail-oriented General Labourers for contract work. You will perform assembly tasks such as stripping magnets, applying pins, and packaging/shrink-wrapping products, with the flexibility to work across multiple departments. The role requires efficiency in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and safety standards.
This position is not located on a bus route, candidates must have their own reliable transportation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strip out magnets from products as per the specifications.
- Apply pins or other necessary components to items in accordance with production guidelines.
- Package finished items and prepare them for shipment, including shrink-wrapping products as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols and procedures.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring accuracy and completeness before packaging.
- Follow assembly instructions and adhere to timelines to meet production goals.
- Report any defects or issues with materials or equipment to the supervisor.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet daily production targets.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, or similar roles is a plus, but not required.
- Own reliable transportation is required.
- Ability to work with small components, including magnets and pins, with precision and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Must be able to follow instructions and safety protocols carefully.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move products up to 50lbs.
- Ability to stand and perform assembly tasks for extended periods.
- Fine motor skills required for handling small parts.
Pay: $17.40/hour
Shifts: Monday to Friday, day shifts
