General Labourer
Job Description
Assignment Overview:
We are looking for a Construction Labourer to assist with the setup and installation of hologram display structures. This is a hands-on role that involves light construction work, staging, equipment setup, and assisting technical staff with the secure assembly of display units.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in unloading, staging, and moving equipment and display materials
- Assemble modular hologram display structures following provided layouts and instructions
- Secure mounting frames, screens, and light rigging as directed
- Ensure all equipment is safely and correctly installed
- Follow direction from installation supervisors and technical staff
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite
- Use hand and power tools (basic)
- Support teardown and loading at the end of the event, if applicable
Requirements:
- CSA-approved work boots and long pants are mandatory
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
- Comfortable using basic tools like drills, wrenches, and screwdrivers
- Fall Protection certification is required
- Hard hat and hi-visibility vest may be required (depending on the site)
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work in a team environment
- Punctuality and professionalism
Helpful Experience (Not Mandatory):
- Previous experience in event setups, trade shows, temporary construction, or theatrical rigging
- Comfort working around lighting, sound, and projection equipment
Wage: $25/hr
Shifts: 8am to 5pm
Contract Length: 10 days. April 7 to April 17
