Looking for reliable candidates to assist in the waste collection process in the Smithville, ON area.
This is a temporary contract from January 24th to February 4th covering a vacation leave
As a waste collector, you are responsible for loading trucks with garbage or recycling. This is a physically demanding job so you must be able to preform repetitive movements and lift up to 50lbs. Work is outdoors, so successful candidates must be prepared to work in any weather conditions.
Duties:
- Collect and load waste, recyclables, leaf and yard waste, and green bin materials on waste trucks
- Complete pick-up routes as provided every morning
- Work in a fast paced environment
Requirements:
- Must have CSA approved 6? safety boots, long pants, safety vest/jacket/shirt
- Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Shifts start at 6AM with varying finish times
- Must be flexible to work Saturdays
- Must have reliable transportation to and from Smithville
- Must be able to work from January 24th to February 4th
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Pay: $18.90 per hour
