REPORTS TO:
President & General Manager
TERMS:
• Salary, 8:30 – 4:30 M-F, stat holidays and minimums as set out by law.
• Remuneration based on experience.
• Standard employee benefits after probation period.
• 2 weeks vacation.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• Electronics or Electrical Engineering Technology degree or diploma is preferred.
• Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code.
• Must be able to interpret drawings, author reports and create training material.
• Possess valid ‘G’ Ontario Driver’s License.
• Working knowledge of the Traffic Control Industry. This includes traffic cabinet hardware, software and communication equipment.
• Must have extensive experience with computer programs such as AUTOCAD, Google Workspace, Word and Excel. Must be familiar with IP based devices.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT
• Oversee all production activities and customer orders.
• Familiar with production flow and scheduling logistics.
• Inventory control management and shipping/receiving planning.
• Provide leadership, technical assistance, and training to the Production Department.
• Issue work orders and work instructions to production/warehouse staff.
• Create BOM’s and assist the sales team with quotes/tenders.
• Implement and maintain standards for manufacturing and testing.
• Liaison with Engineering and Technical Service Group for problem identification and correction.
• Ensure materials and labour are in place to meet customer requirements and time frames.
• Assist the production department with manufacturing, assembling and testing equipment.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
• Assist and support Sales and the Technical Services Group with technical and customer service-related inquires.
International Standards Organization
• As an ISO company, assist the ISO team with monthly and yearly audits.
• Record all non-conformances and customer complaints related to the production dept.
• Monitor external suppliers’ performance.
