Position Summary
The Site QA Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the quality assurance processes across the entire site, with a primary focus on TQM. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. The QA Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Your Tasks
- Maintain, improve, develop and implement site-wide quality assurance policies and procedures in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead a team of quality professionals, inclusive of QA, QC and Laboratory staff.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead the quality assurance team in performing root cause analysis and developing corrective and preventive action plans for identified quality issues.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to ensure quality is integrated into all processes and workflows.
- Train and mentor staff on quality assurance principles, tools, and methodologies.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and prepare reports for senior management, providing insights and recommendations.
- Manage customer complaints and quality issues, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in quality management and regulatory changes.
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations, policies and procedures.
- Ensure Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) requirements are met for food safety.
- Schedule and host all customer audits.
- Communicate daily with the GM on any customer concerns and conduct investigations to address the root causes of the concerns.
Your profile
- MSc or BSc in Biotechnology/Bioscience/Chemistry
- 10+ years of experience in quality assurance management, preferably in food-grade manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, FSSC 22000) and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in conducting audits, inspections, and process improvements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities, capable of influencing and engaging at all levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP
