Rebar Production Labourer
Job Description
Our client in the steel and rebar industry is seeking a Rebar Laborer to join their team. The successful candidate will assist the Rebar team with various industrial and construction tasks. Training will be provided for operating overhead cranes and other machinery as needed. This is a physically demanding role in an industrial environment with a strong focus on safety.
Shifts: Monday to Friday 7am-3pm
Wage: $22.75/hr
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate or learn to operate industrial machinery and tools, including overhead cranes (training provided).
- Assist with rebar production and other tasks as directed.
- Follow all company safety policies and wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Report unsafe conditions or practices immediately.
- Perform basic measurements and calculations, including reading tape measures and fractions.
- Maintain effective communication and teamwork with colleagues to ensure project success.
Key Requirements:
- Ability or willingness to be trained to operate industrial machinery such as overhead cranes.
- Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Experience in non-climate-controlled industrial environments.
- Basic math skills for measurements and simple calculations.
- Previous manufacturing, construction, or industrial experience preferred, especially crane or forklift operation.
- Strong teamwork, communication skills, and commitment to workplace safety.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- Clear criminal record check.
- Successful completion of pre-employment medical and drug screening.
