<br><strong>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:</strong><br>

&#9;<li>Responsible for creating all relevant documentation for freight to cross the international border to and from Canada, including hired carriers and company vehicles

&#9;<li>Provide company drivers with information relevant to pick ups and deliveries on both sides of the border, including Bill of Laden

<br><strong>Responsibility Involved: </strong><br> 

<br>Works with general guidance and direction but operator works independently the majority of the time; references a supervisor only when problems involve change; establishes own method of performing duties in accordance with pre-determined requirements and goals; may be responsible for workers.<br>

<br>The employee is responsible for working safely, by following legislated safety standards and the safe work practices and procedures that the Company has in place. <br><strong>Effort:</strong><br> 

<br>Mental effort is of moderate intensity, requiring more than 2 hours per day of concentration, attentiveness, and analytical thinking. Tasks include reviewing and verifying purchase orders, analyzing market trends, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies. The role demands attention to detail and frequent decision-making.<br> 

<br>Physical effort is of low intensity, predominantly sedentary, with more than 2 hours per day spent on tasks such as keyboarding, sitting, and using office equipment. Occasional activities may include walking through the warehouse, inspecting materials, and potentially lifting light objects. The role may require fine motor skills for tasks like data entry and document management.<br> 

<br><strong>Job Working Conditions: </strong><br> 

<br>Involves a busy working environment with frequent contacts throughout the day; psychological environment is such that it may involve periods of extreme mental duress in working through assignments; office environment; sedentary working environment and computer utilization.<br> 

<br><strong>Skills needed:</strong> Able to issue daily tasks to workers after having received instruction from supervisor; motivate self and others; multi task; able to follow instructions; work within time constraints; take responsibility for own actions and duties.<br>

            <description><![CDATA[<br>A rebar production company is seeking hardworking welders to join their team. This opportunity begins as a 2â3 week contract, with the potential for extension based on business needs.<br> 

<br>Job Responsibilities:<br> 

<ul>
&#9;<li>Select appropriate quantity, length and gauge of rebar as required for structure being assembled.</li>
&#9;<li>Utilize measuring instruments â tape measure, straight edge, laser sight, jig as required to properly locate and space rebar.</li>
&#9;<li>Weld rebar. Tack welding. Responsible to reload weld wire and change and maintain weld tips to ensure weld quality is consistent.</li>
&#9;<li>Operate overhead crane once properly certified in crane use.</li>
&#9;<li>Must be able to work and operate machinery in a safe and efficient manner. Ensure machine guards are in place and material handled in a safe manner. Must wear appropriate safety equipment as specified.</li>
&#9;<li>Be able to detect faulty operation of equipment being used as well as faulty material.</li>
&#9;<li>As required, sort and rework defective material, repack and dispose of scrap.</li>
&#9;<li>Always maintain a clean and organized work area.</li>

<br>Job Requirements:<br>

&#9;<li>Must be capable of repeated standing, walking, carrying, bending and lifting.</li>
&#9;<li>Frequent lifting of weights up to 50 lbs. Weights considered to be above the individualâs ability to lift safely are to be lifted using an overhead crane or lifted with a partner.</li>
&#9;<li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints.</li>
&#9;<li>Working in a non-climate controlled environment.</li>

&#9;<li>Accurately process payments using approved systems (POS, offload reports).
&#9;<li>Issue receipts and ensure all transactions are properly documented.
&#9;<li>Reconcile daily transactions and submit required reports in accordance with company procedures.

<strong>Safety & Equipment Maintenance</strong>

<ul>
&#9;<li>Conduct pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report mechanical issues promptly.
&#9;<li>Operate forklifts safely in confined and high-security environments.
&#9;<li>Adhere to all occupational health and safety policies, including PPE requirements.
&#9;<li>Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
</ul>
<strong>Availability: </strong>

<ul>
&#9;<li>Ability to work Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM,&nbsp;<strong>supporting operations at both Abbotsford and Aldergrove border crossings</strong>
&#9;<li>On Call every 2 weeks
</ul>

<strong>Qualifications & Requirements</strong>

<ul>
&#9;<li>Valid forklift certification (counterbalance required; additional certifications an asset).
&#9;<li>Minimum [1] years of experience operating forklifts in a commercial or industrial environment.
&#9;<li>Experience working in secured, bonded, or regulated facilities is a strong asset.
&#9;<li>Ability to obtain and maintain federal security clearance (mandatory).
&#9;<li>Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures.
&#9;<li>Good communication and interpersonal skills.
&#9;<li>Ability to work shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays as required.
</ul>
<strong>Physical Requirements</strong>

<ul>
&#9;<li>Ability to operate forklifts in a safe manner
&#9;<li>Ability to lift, push, and pull loads as required by the role.
&#9;<li>Comfortable working in a high-security environment.
</ul>
<strong>Work Environment</strong>

<ul>
&#9;<li>Federally secured inspection facility.
&#9;<li>Exposure to commercial freight, loading docks
&#9;<li>High emphasis on security, safety, and regulatory compliance.
